Courtesy of my cousin. I already ordered a surround kit as the foam surround is failing. I'm expecting it to sound quite good, although I doubt it will outshine my PSA sub. It may find its way into the FS section soon.

The F series was awesome. Big bad and wonderful. I remember Installing them all those years ago. My god where does the time go.
Well worth investing money to repair and get them back up to spec. Great subs man.
Velodyne made some of the best sounding Sub's ever.

Mid to late 90s. Foam surrounds. Amps not as powerful as the SPL series. But I would love to bear one. Good luck with the repair!

Probably a good thing as the SPL series AMP's are garbage...

I've blown through 4 of them in 5 years, and no I don't push them hard.

The ULD series put them on the map. I think the F series was next after those.

I had my spl recapped 5 or 6 years ago when it got a hum in it. Mine is the first spl1200 series. I have read stories of that amp giving out. Maybe I got mine recapped in time?

I see the f series on Craig's list sometimes. Next time I will know not to just pass it over

Congrats on the find ROHfan, I remember those old Velos , back in the day, they were one bad boy, heavy as heck too. Those old amps back then were pretty dependable, unlike many newer sub amps out there. Have heard lots of good things on PSA subs for years. ;)
