Has anyone paired the directv rc72 remote to control the volume on the Omni sb1 soundbar

    The best approach is to use the TV's remote (assuming it is an IR remote) to program the Polk rather than the satellite dish's remote.

    If the Direct TV remote can control the TV and if you can program the Polk with the TV remote, then yes it should. The problem with using the Direct TV remote to program the Polk is that it sends too many commands, since it has to control lots of devices. But the TV remote is only sending one set of commands, since it only has to control one device and the Polk can learn those.
