What is the difference? SDA CRS/CRS+

I will be picking up a like new pair of SDA CRS speakers Friday. I have a pair of SDA SRS 2.3tl's that have been giving me smiles since 1998 when I got them from my uncle.
I was reading up on the CRS and see several mention the CRS+ Is this a factory different model, or an upgrade CRS? Thanks for the help.

There are three versions, 84' 2nd generation blade/blade CRS with two tweeters, 86' 3rd generation blade/blade CRS+ with a single tweeter, and 87'-89' 4th generation pin/blade with a single tweeter.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Thanks for the info. The pair I am getting has 2 tweeters per speaker.

Try them with and without the Dimensional Tweeter connected. Polk eliminated those Tweeters on later models. See which configuration you prefer.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Disconnect the wires, and put some electrical tape on them. Re-install the tweeter. Just make sure you're disconnecting the right ones.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Those would be the outboard tweeters just like in my SDA 2 coffins, correct?

I disconnect the dimensional tweeter on mine, and replaced the stereo tweeted with the new ones from Polk. They sound more balanced and less fatiguing.

My crs with the new stereo tweeter RDO194 on the left and the unplugged dimensional tweeter on the right. I have painted the SL2000 dome, the contrast was driving nuts

No harm done. It will wash off.
I picked up the SDA-CRS pair today. They look unused and like new. I was even more pleased when I got them hooked up and tested out. They are not my 2.3tl's, but they are amazing for such small speakers. I got these for my shop stereo. Yea, nuts, but I am happy and will have some nice tunes while working. They will be powered by a Yamaha M-60 with a Yamaha C-50 pre-amp, a Yamaha Tuner, and maybe a Yamaha EQ. -

Not everybody has the perfect conditions for the big SDA, The CRS are a pretty good option, when room is an issue.
