Covering banana plugs

I have some outdoor speakers I bring in for the winter. I want to protect the banana plugs from moisture. Any suggestions?

You could go to an autoparts store and find the correct size vacuum plugs to fit the bananas.

Personally, if they are plated I'd probably just leave them bare, rather than possibly trap moisture in the connector and wire. -
I agree with William on this one. If they are gold plated no biggie. the only other thing I can offer is shrink tubing, A buddy of mine does it every winter then cuts it off in the spring.

A salt air environment is harsher than most others. I think I’ll get the vacuum plugs, pack them with grease or Vaseline and then insert the banana plugs.

what about just bagging the ends?
grease/vaseline sounds like a troublesome mess in the Spring.I disabled signatures. -
Always a good idea to use vaseline when packing the banana in a harsh enviroment.

My outdoor speakers stay out side all year around. They have been out there for 12 years and still work just fine.
I use silicon when I install wire into the binding posts. I put a small coat on them to keep moisture out and it works for years and years with trouble free listening.
If your going to take them in and cover the wire, the Dielectic grease following by plastic wrap is a wonderful Idea. Thats what I would do if I was going to bring my speakers in each winter.Dan
