Let's find out who would prefer Lasareath talk about his audio adventures or his electric car. Please choose one or the other, in this poll we simply can't have it both ways.

Whatever he wants in the Clubhouse, as long as it not politics or religion. He is not breaking any rules right?

I should start a poll asking should you be able to start polls like this. He can talk about whatever he wants. Your choice not to read them. Some of us are long time members and we have talked about pretty much everything.

It's not the car, it's the agenda behind what he is pushing.. He can talk about whatever he likes..

It's not fun to watch. It's annoying and weird.

Keep it to the applicable forum elsewhere or on his personal website(s).

    This has to stop.

This is a slippery slope we are on.

You won't find someone else that is as anti-electric car as I am. However, he is breaking no rules (that I know of) by talking about them.

A brief search of the Clubhouse forum shows threads about snowblowers, beer, cigars, football, cleavage, etc... None of these are audio related... Right?

  • He should talk away, If my posts were only limited to non-weird stuff, you would not be seeing much of me around.

I am still hyped about the air car, 100 miles drive range and 4 MINUTES to fill the tank with air ata gas station.

Cleavage is audio related. I have on many occasion used them as headphones and to tune in the radio station.

His rants tend to push a misinformed political agenda which personally I no longer pay any attention to. I doubt anybody else pushing their "beliefs" would be tolerated.

These guys are purposely trying to rile the forum up for the giggles. By these guys I mean the EV people on his Facebook.
In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[3]

I don't read Sal's posts anymore because I'm not interested in his E-car journey/agenda. Is it annoying? It can be, but no rules have been broken and as long as it's not spam and it stays in the Clubhouse, it's his right based on the rules of the forum.

P.s. He's always been over the top on subjects, it's his personality. Yes, I believe LeafMeAlone is Sal.

He should talk about whatever he wants.

What are we going to try to ban next? Cleavage?

I'm not voting, but if I were to vote it would be for a choice that's not there... both, or anything (except religion or politics). No rules are being broken, so what's the harm? Personally, I've found some of the threads entertaining/amusing/enlightening. Have I posted in any of them? No.

If anyone is against Sal's posts/opinions/agenda, just ignore them! The threads will die on their own if they draw zero interest/responses. By responding/posting, you're just ensuring that the thread stays alive! I know if I were to start posts on something I was passionate about and they got ZERO replies, eventually, I'd stop posting on it. Obviously, no one cares, so why waste my time. Now, if I continuously get replies, especially against my beliefs, you're d@mn right I'd keep posting!

    +1

The only caveat is that what he is posting is much closer to political ideology than beer, cigars, or, um, other "manly" interests. Can anything turn political? Of course. Is everything ultimately connected to politics? absolutely. Is anyone here here going to start a rant against the democratic platform on a beer thread? I HIGHLY doubt it. So I do think he should give it up, but I don't care because I don't go into those threads.

You guys do know and understand that you are NOT required to read ALL threads, right? It's a legal discussion in the clubhouse, might be a little radical, but it's sure not required reading. I know don't.

Am I getting an F minus in CP for that?

Yeah but if you know your threads don't interest the masses and the attitude puts people off why go there? I wouldn't...

Is it annoying? Hell yes. Does it diminish my opinion of Las? Sort of? Is he pushing an agenda? Hell yes. Will I put him on the bozo list? Most likely. Is he violating the rules as written? No. Will he use common sense now that he realizes it annoys most people? Probably not.
