I need to sell some stuff, and I'm starting with my Mirage front stage. It's a pair of the OMD28, and the matching OMDC2 center. I bought the OMD28's new, and the OMDC2 was used. The floor standers are a solid 9 on the Audiogon scale, but the center is a 5 or a 6. The floor standers don't have any marks or scratches, and I have the original boxes and accessories. The center has some scuffs on one side, but not into the actual veneer, and for some reason has a few holes that were drilled in the bottom by its previous owner to secure it along with some snags in the grill cloth. It is still very presentable.
These are located in Eau Claire, WI, and even though I have the boxes for the 28's, I will not ship them. Their packing is not well-made, and I fear that they would not survive transit. Eau Claire is about 1:20 east from Minneapolis, and 2:30 northwest from Madison, WI. Delivery is possible, as I travel a fair bit for work.
Asking price is $2000 for all three.

Fantastic speakers. I have Installed them a few times and always walked away pleased. Very nice sound stage and get clarity for movies.
Mirage needs to make a huge comeback and start rocking more Higher end stuff.Dan
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
Thanks Mantis, I agree on all counts. I do really like them, but I can't justify keeping both sets of speakers. The bass on the Mirage beats the B&W, and the soundstage is amazing for movies. The speakers never seem to jump out in the room because of that wide dispersion.
Don't hesitate to make offers! -
Price drop to $1,800.

Bumpity-Bump?

Beautiful speakers, I love that finish!

Would you consider shipping the omd 28s
-
I might, but they would probably need to go on a pallet. Where are you located?
-
Ridley park PA what would you take for the omd 28 I have a center channel already thanks mike
-
It's just outside of Philadelphia about ten minutes thanks

I am interested in your listing. I have OMD-15 and C1, what I would use as rear speakers and the 28 and C2 at the front.
Would you use prof shipping to avoid damages? Ship to Sumas WA. -
How much flipping going on?
-
Too old to flip. Happy just to walk at this point.

Something that big is really hard to flip, especially if u need to have it shipped.
I agree that generally there is more money outside of the forum. BUT, as we have been discussing lately, you will either 1. Pay fees out ur rear, which may all but render the extra profits mute, or 2. Sell to someone on a site that offers no protection to someone u don't know, and run a much higher risk of getting screwed. 3. Or you can just wait it out here, pay no fees and hopefully sell to someone in the community.
Whatever you decide, GLWS!

At this point I'd still be much happier driving a few hours to meet someone for cash and a handshake. I could ship however someone wants, but I can't imagine the cost to be reasonable. The center would need to be boxed, and them the three of them could go on a pallet.
