Who's in the 4k bandwagon and WHY? Should I just invest on WHISKY instead

    Looking forward to seeing what comes out this next year at the CES 2016 in Jan. Still have the 16 year old Toshiba 20" CRT tv set in the bedroom, great picture and color, inky blacks and absolutely no motion blur. The thing just won't die.

    Some old TVs are absolutely amazing to My eye. I recall a few older 65 inch Mitsubishi DLP sets that stunned me at how good they still looked.

    Samsung made some beautiful DLP's also. Unfortunately, many developed those white spots on the screen and Samsung said too bad, we aren't going to cover that under warranty. SOL to consumer.

    I have no motion issues with my Sony. It even has a "football" mode that corrects for a lot of other sports as well.

    When my settings are tweaked (Disc cal only, Pro cal is too expensive for a DLP as things change when the bulb ages), with a blu-ray playing, the lights dim, and all my surround goodness bringing the pain....the HT experience IS amazing.
    IMO, there was nothing in the 70"+ range that could touch the value years ago. Given I bought all me gear used the value is off the charts.

    Still, I might end up with a large LED (65"-80") in the family room of the next house and either a larger DLP or projector in the basement. Seen some 82" and 92" ones here and there at cheap prices.
