Saw this last night. Not movie of the year.....but, the acting was good, well shot, original screen play.

I'm a big Ed Norton fan, guy can act....but little ol' Mikey Keaton took him to school in my opinion. If you remember Keaton, he was often cast in dopey comedic roles, which he did good. This however shows off his acting chops which even for me took me by surprise.

I enjoyed it. The crazy-long takes were pretty impressive. And linking those all into one was very cool.

I haven't seen this one either. I do seem to recall it was nominated for numerous awards and won some. :)

this is on my list too.
I like both of those guys. first film I saw Edward Norton in was Primal Fear. I think I exclaimed "holy crap!" out loud watching that film. which I did again at Fight Club, come to think of it...

for the Michael Keaton fans - if you haven't seen Multiplicity, consider checking it out. he plays four characters in that one, three of which are clones. kind of silly seeing it again after all this time, but it's still pretty funny. skip the 4:3 aspect version though; annoying pan-scan. I think it's streamable on Amazon, but not Prime I don't think?

You're young unless you can't remember who you are. And if you can't, Birdman! Just kidding. I haven't seen the entire film yet, had it in queue but was interrupted 25-30 minutes in. Has an interesting structure. Norton and Keaton both look good!

Watched it this weekend - I want my 2 hrs back. All the hype about Keaton, although he did do very well, I was sadly disappointed in the movie.

LOL....I hear ya....not the most exciting movie out there. The acting is great though, and you have to give it kudo's for original screenplay and the way it was shot.

I enjoyed the movie. I like Michael Keaton, but I don't think his performance was above and beyond any past role. The script was refreshing as well as the cinematography. I am excited to see the director's next movie with Leonardo.
The Revenant. As a whole I thought Whiplash was a better movie.

I thought the acting was great, but the script was . . . . weird. What happened at the end?

    Spoiler alert! ! !
