when I moved in with my soon to be wife she had an English Bulldog that would viciously attack my guitar the second I strummed it. Over time I weaned him off of it by saying his name, singing his name, exclaiming his name, over and over. When he attacked I would stop saying his name and put the guitar away. Basically this became a song. Everytime I would break out the guitar he would come sit by my side and listen to "his" song. When Trey upgraded my crossovers he was the first one to try them out and I noticed that on certain tracks he would suddenly pay attention, put his head down, and look back and forth to where the singer seemed to be singing. He loved female jazz singers, and the sda works on dogs apparently. One day he really got into one song, and I discovered Diana Krall, thanks to Ruckus.
He also really liked led zeppelin. He passed away yesterday, but I wanted to share a video I took of him enjoying his tunes playing air guitar dog style in between my crs+ sda's. I will miss him dearly.

https://youtu.be/zPHDv0KzpUA

For dog lovers and sda fans, it's worth a quick look and chuckle. He only did this when I played certain songs, it wasn't random.

thanks guys, it is hard of course, but he had a great life. He fully shared my hobby in music once he learned to listen and not attack. I t was awesome to see his head and eyes follow the soundstage of the polks. By the way, the video is safe for work.
I haven't been on the forum in a while due to extreme work business, but am back to where I can spend more time here. I miss polk forum. Now that I have the time and a couple bucks I plan to upgrade my srs2 blade/blade crossovers. It will be sad though to not have my buddy give his appreciation. I've never seen a dog truly listen to music like he did.

Feel bad for you man. He did apparently have a wonderful life, though.

Wow that got me right in the feels. Him wigglin around like that. My wife calls that "piggy toes". They are truly family members. Losing my dog was one of the worst things I have gone through. Couldn't even get another one for a time because you never want to go through it again. Dogs are the best. Sorry for the loss of your friend

Sorry for your loss. I lost two in the last couple years, mother and her puppy, 17 and 15 yrs old. They liked to watch to see where the singer was coming from also, and really perked up when the speaker phone was on. Thanks for sharing.

Ditto to all the other posts. Losing a pet can be very painful. I have lost three dogs in this house. Two to old age, one to cancer. Now I have four cats and when I retire I will get another dog. At that point both our life expectancies will be about the same. Take care, and adopt another.

Sorry for your loss EV. Losing a family pet is painful, but they give so much it's worth the grieving. I lost one of my three dogs 4 1/2 weeks ago, still sad.

Loved the video, and welcome back.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....
