I like how they designed that crown protector. Solid.

Hey polkie2009 - yeah I agree. The crown protector is awesome. The strap changing system was great too. Rubber for when I dove in Maui.

My Rolex gmt ii ceramic... Fantastic timepiece. My daily until it was beat by the tag silverstone...

GMT = vacation and not at work for me.

Love that watch. Always happy memories.

All those shots were in Maui 2014, Four Seasons at Wailea. Possibly heaven on earth.

Rolex submariner with date. My first one and I will never flip or sell it. My parents bought it for me in 2008. I was 25 at that time... Good ol days

My unicorn watch - Rolex Submariner Stainless Day/Date. All of my Seiko are basically just copies of this watch until that "someday" when i finally pull the trigger on one. Also have my great-grandfathers pocket watch - will never part with that!

Thinking I may go for this as my first Breitling...

Of course, I will also plan on winning the lottery so that I can get the matching Continental GTSpeed to go along with it...

I bought/ well my wife bought me a Tag Aquaracer from this forum about 4 years (10 yr wedding gift, she got an eternity band) back. I'd love to buy more watches, for a time I had a big collection which I sold on this forum. I'd like a rectangular watch for wearing with suits and at work and keep the Aquaracer for weekends and travel/swim. But we just bought a new house and must buy new appliances and AC and keep paying daycare for 2 kids... My watch will have to wait. In the mean time I do have an old timex that my grandfather wore and an ESQ titanium chrono. My ife also has a diamond ESQ and a Tag Alter Ego with a dark blue face which I bought her for her Bday one year. I also have a pocket watch will I will some day get repaired.

Trust me, I saw and drooled on both the Monaco and the Heuer. I'd really like a Monaco. If the price was right I would one day. but like I said $100 day for daycare and new house and appliances and our trip to San Fran next week.

Daily drivers are Armani's. I have a few Breitlings I just keep in the drawer. As for the cars, I've had the BMW 745i, Mercedes S550 and will never own either again. Sold out for Audi, some of the best luxury cars out there right now. If I ever move on, it will be to a Jaguar XJL, Tesla, or Lambo Gallardo. I posted pics of the cars in a few threads, but my Audi is wicked.

Leaning heavily that way with my next purchase myself. Leaning heavily towards an S5 though...although, I would also dig a C7 S6 Avant...but my wife is not a fan of wagons even if it is a 420hp twin turbo V8 hehe.

Was wondering how long it would take for you to show up in this thread! ;)

I have a Breitling Evolution two-tone, blue face, and a Rolex two-tone sub with champagne face and sapphires and diamonds for numerals. It was a limited edition. I wear one of them every day, and have enjoyed both immensely. Every time work seems to be a pain, they remind me that persistence pays, and hard work leads to rewards.

Both are worth a lot more than I paid for them, so the argument of cost vs. invest seems reasonable to me. Buy a Casio and it's never worth more than the day you bought it....a fine watch appreciates over time. I've owned many nice watches over the years, mostly Rolexes and Breitlings, and some Omegas, and have never lost a penny.

Thought this would generate a couple laughs. I hope it didn't come across as crapping on this thread(like someone I won't name). I'm a fan of watches myself but unfortunately not of this caliber.

Don't let me fool ya Ken. Only 2 of mine are what I would consider "end game" but I dig something about every single one I own.
Even the lowly little Timex Camper that cost my parents all of like $15 back when I joined the Army.

No worries man... someday it'll happen. Heck, I haven't bought a new watch for I think 3 years straight then I bought the Heuer Silverstone in January after a looong drought. I convinced myself that I deserved a new watch at that time. But yeah, bills will always be there.

I got a few more pics to post.... the next one is the king of my collection - barely sees the light of day nowadays, it's the Rolex Daytona in steel with black dial. It took me a while to get this one and it is the ultimate of my collection. I wore it on my wedding day.

Boom... qft. Agree completely. And totally agree about the retention of value. Why let money sit in the bank when you can have it on your wrist? Right?

Of course, don't go crazy with it... but it's fun!

Here's my grail end game type Rolex... Rose Gold Daytona. When I feel financially ready, it's on. It's on like donkey kong.

I mean the white gold blue sub looks great too... But something about the Rose Daytona is so baller.

Not to sound incredibly vain but with my skin tone, I can't do gold. It looks very wrong next to my skin.
White gold works fine as does stainless, silver, titanium, etc...all the grey/silver/black shades.
    But yellow gold...*shudder*.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled watch drool-fest.

Try rose gold... Atleast for my skin tone it matches very well. Yellow pops more.

I have about 4 watches with rose gold, very popular the last 3 years or so. I remember seeing a watch show on tv probably 8 or 9 years ago with Tim Temple and the rep. from Vostok(?). They were showing a beautiful rose gold watch, thickly plated in 18K rose gold. I knew from that moment, someday, yes, someday, I was going to own a nice rose gold plated watch. Joey, that Rolex Daytona is gorgeous. For some reason some of your other pics won't show on my screen, maybe they are too big?

Rose gold is definitely something to consider...I dig copper a lot and it has that feel to it. Without the green oxidation!
