I forgot who asked what to bring when auditioning SDAs .My choices were and I'm old school. Sticky Fingers, the separation and recording is excellent, Sailing to Philadelphia by Mark Knopfler for production value and just a fantastic album and for insanity Electric Lady Land and Axis Bold As love for the cross phasing and when played at volume sounds unbelievable. Yes these are full albums but for one song Gimme Shelter doe it for me.

When listening to Heartbeat City by the Cars... it starts off with a electronically constructed seagull sound that starts over in the front left area and then flys/flaps past you out to the rear right.... that's a tad cool/freaky. The rest of the song is just Cars electronica signature stuff.

Lately I've been listening to Absentia by Porcupine Tree. The recording and production are both top notch and there's a lot of cool effects that SDAs do very well.

And the gods made love.... from Electric Ladyland (Hendrix). This "song" will amaze you, IMO.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

I think Pink Floyd...More does the same thing.

There's a VERY LONG THREAD about such material somewhere in the archives here. One of the old timers should dig it up and maybe we can make it a "sticky" as it represents YEARS of opinions and selections!

Since the search engine here, S U C K S, we need someone who can remember the original thread title "word for word"!

That does seem to be the thread. Good work! Now how to "sticky" it and continue to build on it?

Under "Vintage Speakers" it is listed as an "Announcement"- second item from the top. Not sure if that's what "sticky" means.

Well then our work here is done. In fact, it wasn't even necessary since it's been a sticky all along! Just goes to show that some of us are still not used to the new site, nor perhaps kept up with changes in it.
