Very interesting read D, that's real walnut they used back then. Don't see real wood used much in mid priced speakers anymore. Hope someone local can pick these up.

A friend of mine has a set of 1.5. The speaker was way better then I thought it was going to be. Later on he upgraded the tweeter and still uses them today.
