My new system.

On the cheap. So I got The Beatles mono box but couldn't play it. Been looking for something for my dining room and this is what I came up with.

Pioneer SB-BS22-LR $60 from Amazon
Audio-Technica AT-LP120 $280 from Amazon
Onkyo TX-8050 receiver $180 from Onkyo refurbished
Onkyo C-7030 CD player $140 from Accessories for less refurbished

Sounds pretty good to me. A special shoutout to Rick88 for the Polks he sent me, but I like the sound of Pioneers a bit better for this setup so they are now in my home theatre. Thanks Rick !!! Nice to have music back in the dining room again.
Also bought a phono-pre for when my TT comes back Cambridge Audio Azur 640P for $90 at Hoffmans.

Gosh, I might have to pull the trigger on those Pio's. So hard to pass up a deal like that. I'd love to throw 5K worth of tube gear at em' lol.
  • They're listed at $126.99 on Amazon right now. How'd you get em' for $60?

That's where I got them. At Amazon. Seen them for $59.90 and figured I couldn't go wrong. I was right. There worth every penny of the $127. Just got lucky. It happens.

Amazon has some killer daily Deals, if you can catch them...saw a k-cup coffe machine normally $120 go for $20 with only 1000 in stock that sold out in minutes.

Nice little system there, hard to beat for its value to sound ratio, unless you go used/vintage.

I really like my Pioneer AVR Andrew Jones bookie/center 3.1 secondary basement system. Have JVC CD player in there plus an original W-mart APEX DVD player. Remember those? First players to break the $100 dollar and below ceiling? It still works on the old tube Toshiba.

But I'm currently in my home office rigging up some ADS L520s ($25)
    JVC JR-S201 ($35)
    Sony '90s CDP ($9)

Hard to believe what this sounds like for a measly $69? If any of you have a chance to pick up some vintage ADS speakers, and a JVC receiver cheap, don't hesitate!

LPs? Sure, throw in a Pioneer PL-12D for another $45 with original Shure cart. and you're still under $115?

    Enjoy!
