Here are some, hopefully, helpful hints on using the forum, if you've discovered other ones post them as replies to this thread.
Thanks, Ken

You’ve probably noticed that we’ve changed our forum’s software, along with the look and feel. Here are some short explanations about what the various features do. We hope you’ll enjoy the new forums and that, once you’re used to them, you’ll agree that they’re a ton better than our old ones!

Here you go:

Discussions
This is known as a thread in most forum software. One starts a discussion. In a user profile, you can see the discussions they have started.

Comments
A comment is a "post" in a "thread". In other words one "comments" on a "discussion". In a user profile, you can see the comments they have made.

Inbox
The Inbox lets you start a private conversation with the people you invite. Think of it like a private thread with users you are interested in talking with.

Profile

Badges
These are the badges you have earned, and it's based on how frequent you post and how valuable you are to the community.

Reactions
Like a post, think it's funny? A reaction bar is below every post. Make sure to share your opinion.

Bookmark
When you click the "star" icon in a thread, this becomes a bookmark or favourite, so you can keep up with a discussion you have interest in.

Posting Video
You can post videos from YouTube or Vimeo, by pasting the link as plain text.

@mention
Add a @ before a username and they will get a notification you are talking about them.

Other Info

  • Hello,
Here is a way to access all of the older forum's archived PMs:

"As to the private messages, the database shows over 32,000 private messages
were ported over. People just need to look at their Inbox to find these.

How to get to your inbox:

    1) Log in to the forum.
    2) Click on your username on the top-right corner.
    3) Once on your profile page, you should see links such as Notifications,
    Discussions, Comments and Inbox.
    4) Click on Inbox to access your old private messages."

    Regards, Ken
