Does a micro SD card have adequate read speeds for hi resolution audio? Thanks in advance.

Class 10 MicroSD cards can hit 70MB / second sustained read rates. You could play a BluRay movie with no problems even.

I asked this particular question about the sd card because I was thinking of using the dell venue 8 pro as a touch player for my
stereo. It doesn't have much storage but it has microSD slot. I was going to use the usb jack for the audioquest dragonfly.

However, Im not sure what media player to use. Does the jriver mc19 64 bit work okay on a 32bit windows 8.1 OS?

Maybe I should just use wmp 12. seems that my gear isn't good enough to notice a difference.

    Nightfall,

Does foobar2000 work well with the touchscreen tablet version of windows 8.1? I would use itunes but I've read in many threads
that itunes for windows is not very good.

iTunes on Windows historically has not been great software, I certainly would not use that for music playback or even ripping.

I'm not sure to be honest. I've never owned a touch screen Windows device, only tablet I have is an Android Google Nexus 7 2013 and I use Winamp on it which also plays FLAC files. The version of Winamp I use is from the Google Play store so it's made for touch screens. Couldn't hurt to give Foobar2000 a try though and if you don't like it, try Winamp.

Yes! The only player you can really trust not to screw with your files. And the plugin options are endless.
