McIntosh/Polk: Received my vinyl of Waves by Terje Rypdal yesterday on ECM. It's a promotional copy and looks to be mint as advertised. Have to get out to work but will put her on later.

    Queensryche - "Empire"
    1716.jpg

I actually am liking this more and more - well crafted songs that pack melody with *punch*.

And track 4 "Della Brown" - wow, demo track for bass.

Odd how the volume on the rig keeps creeping up....

Red, I saw Hawkwind in the late 70's, and it was an awesome show. That 5.1 must sound great.

LUCKY! The closest I've come is Motorhead. Probably the loudest concert ever (I've seen the Who and Ted Nugent)
Quick story, saw Motorhead at the new Cleveland Agora. It was so loud that we moved to the balcony last row.
While I was sitting there, I looked over at my buddy and pieces of the ceiling were falling on his shoulder!

Back on track, Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush "Tales on the Unexpected."

    heh -- I have a purchased-new copy of that.
FWIW, I liked their previous album (the one with the photo of a rock and a roll on the front cover) even better ;-)

One of my all time faves, so many fantastic cuts on that album. I think "Best I can" is my fave on that album.
