    Brrrr....

Not to 'rub' it in but its been 70F in San Diego - sunny, clear.

I've been teaching my oldest son, 17, to be a 'grill master'.

He did up a pork loin yesterday on the grill - seasoned it, let it set up, operated the grill, cooked the meat, tested it, served it, and covered the rig back up.

It was darn tasty - dad is proud!

Time to revive this thread...it is the 4th of July weekend.

What did you all cook or plan to cook this last day of the holiday weekend?

Yesterday I did up some St Louis ribs - first time as I'm a baby back type of guy.

3 hours of smoke at 250F, 2 hours of the foil and liquid to get some moisture back in, then some bbq to glaze them up.

Fall off the bone moist, rich deep flavor, nice smoke flavor. Darn tasty!

Tonight is chicken breast halves - some marinated, some rubbed.

smoke these for a couple of hours and you can squeeze the liquid out of them :)

I did an 8lb. brisket. Smoked it over charcoal and hickory at 265 degrees for about 8 hours. Sides were baked beans and coleslaw.
