Still working on the TT hum issue. Got some improvement so I'm listening to one of my favorite blues albums for SQ. Lightnin Hopkins Vol. II Everest Records Archives. Great SQ. For some reason, I prefer volume II to any other Lightin' album. Had that same experience with Mississippi Fred McDowell. "Steakbone Slide Guitar" on Tradition Records is pretty much the best Fred McDowell collection IMHO.

Get the hum out Don ?
Quicksilver Messenger Service: Anthology. -
Chum: pretty much got the hum out. Hooked an alligator clip lead from the ground connection on the phono stage to the ground connection on my Belkin PF60 and that took it down to almost gone. Gonna keep messing with the grounds until I get it totally gone but its not bugging me now and sounds really good. Got a battery powered phono stage and I confess I don't really understand how they ground since it has a ground connection for the TT but no power cord to the wall outlet. When Gary Dodd is back home and working I will talk to him about it. The CD player was dead quiet when I hooked up the mono blocks, and the minimal hum I have now in the TT I can live with until I figure that out totally.
