With the lack of entertainment available to us this summer, I pre ordered from amazon and received today and watched it. If you are an action adventure fan, this one will do. The effects and the story are fun, and the audio on the blu ray rocked the windows pretty effin good. Gerard Butler played a John McLean type badass secret service agent, and it was fun to watch.

give it a shot

I wanted to like this movie, but thought it was way predictible and too formulaic. Not a terrible movie, just not great.

Far from great, but with what we have to choose from....not terrible is appropriate.

They go into the queue. I must have at least a hundred BRs waiting to be watched. Currently, I am watching Girls - Season 1.

It was an enjoyable flick, albeit completely implausible. But still, they had some solid hand-to-hand and knife fights in there that I liked. And the audio was NICE!
    Equipment list:
    Onkyo TX-NR3010 9.2 AVR
    Emotiva XPA-3 amp
Polk RTi70 mains, CSi40 center, RTi38 surrounds, RTi28 rears and heights
SVS 20-39CS+ subwoofer powered by Crown XLS1500
    Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray player
    DarbeeVision DVP5000 video processor
    Epson 8500UB 1080p projector
Elite Screens Sable 120" CineWhite screen

Yeah, it's worth a rental. I went to the theater to see it, and it wasn't bad, just, as I said, very predictible. Haven't seen White House Down yet, I heard that's the better flick with the same basic plot.

Watched it yesterday thanks to RedBox, a fun one time romp but no repeat viewings with this one.

Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

Saw the SL graph at AVS site on a scene from OHF that was practically off the charts, talk about rattling the walls! Someone said it actually tripped his breaker, lol. Great scene to show off the system:).

Worth the $1 rental from RedBox. Not sure if I would have paid $8 at the theater for it though. I'm actually surprised you guys are giving it praise. There's a lot better movies out there (IMO) that usually get ripped on....haha
