Based on the eBay prices, this should be a good deal. LS50 for $100.

How do they sound, Ken? Better for music or home theater? And are they tough to drive? -

The LS series is nice, but you can better them for not a lot more on the used market. For $100, if you're curious, go get 'em. I enjoyed my LS70's while I had them (even briefly owned the LS90's), but have no desire to ever have anything from the LS line again.
$100 for the pair is well worth the asking price: the woofers alone should fetch $25 easy if parted out.
Thanks for the info. But it sounds like you weren't a fan of that line. I think I will stick with my original idea of getting Trey to upgrade my crossovers in my 7C's. -
Polk Monitor 4s and an MTX sub for $60 obo, and I think this was up for a little while already.

Anyone familiar with this model? Looks like low end Elite, but hey, still Elite right?

I could try to flip the Pio in my signature and move up to this for not too much more if it's worth it. -

$65 BIN rti70, one has a pushed in tweeter, though.

That busted tweeter will be hard to find a replacement for.
I had a set of monitor 50's like that and i was able to "finesse" the tweeter back out. I couldn't tell a difference between the two speakers but my ears might not be as good as others. -

I e-mailed him early yesterday afternoon. He said that he was listing them on eBay, because craigslist was just "too hard to deal with"
HAHAHA...
More like he got 50 e-mails and then checked comparable solds on eBay rather than doing his homework first.
I replied that to make it even easier I would come pick it up now...no reply :rolleyes:2 ChannelTurntable - VPI Classic 2/Ortofon 2M BlueAmplification - Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II, Parks Audio Budgie PhonoSpeakers - GoldenEar Triton 17.2 Home TheaterDenon AVR-X3300W; Rotel RMB-1066; Klipsch RP-280F's, Klipsch RP-450C, Polk FXi3's, Polk RC60i; Dual SVS PB 2000's; BenQ HT2050; Elite Screens 120"Man CaveTurntable - Pro-Ject 2.9 Wood/Grado GoldAmplification - Dared SL2000a, McCormack DNA 0.5 DeluxeCD: Cambridge AudioSpeakers - Wharfedale Linton 85th Anniversary; LSiM 703; SDA 2A -

I am picking them up tomorrow after work. He sent me a couple photos and they look to be in okay shape cosmetically. Really looking forward to hearing the sub, since the one I have is pretty tame. -

Congrats on a great deal. The 600i's sound surprisingly good. I think you'll like them. -
