Just me, the rig, and some loud music!

Bachelor for the weekend!

After the morning chores were done it's been just me, the rig, and some reference level musical enjoyment!

Run the sub a tad hot, pull the grills and run the speakers naked, pour a cold beer, and go thru some of the old music collection from Fleetwood Mac, Floyd, SRV, Skynyrd, Maiden, Sabbath, Zepplin.

No tweaking, no serious note taking, no track comparisons - just crank it!

It's the music that matters.....

On to Hot Rats now. You know, a martini and a Frank Zappa instrumental pair well. Still just warming up though - unwinding from a busy week at work.

A martini and Zappa....sounds cerebral (and I spelled that correctly the first time!)!

I've got a cold beer and some Larry Carlton going now!

Indeed. I've recently upgraded all of my components (except the amp) so tonight is the first night to really unleash it. I also introduced a separate two-channel pre/amp with HT bypass (thanks to the good advice of the folks here at Club Polk). It was by far the greatest improvement to my rig in my 6 years in this hobby.

Just finished listening to Uriah Heep - Magician's Birthday. Their lyrical themes are dated I know, but I love the music of this band. The payoff is Mick Box's guitar solo on the last song "Magician's Birthday".

Not sure what is next - time to get out of the early 70's I think.

Yep Mick Box is another underrated guitarist love Magicians Birthday, and Take A look at Yourself Uriah Heap great band. Done the Ranchers daughter but I sure did hurt his pride!! Yeah, just finished yard work the missus took the grand kids to the park, sitting in the back with the 2b's in the back ground cranking on Master Of Reality sipping on some Blue Moons and watching 3 dogs chasing down one ball that I've been throwing for them. Enjoy the tunes everyone gotta love the portability of the wife's kindle!
