That's one of the rare Metallica recordings from the last 20 years that I like, I just wish the sound quality was better. I'm referring to the CD versions that has is heavily compressed, never heard it on vinyl. The CD doesn't sound horrible, I just wish it sounded better because with the orchestra it has real potential, I'd love to hear a properly mastered version of that CD as it really is one of my favorites.nooshinjohn wrote: »S&m

Nothing better than unleashing the big monoblocks and the 1.2TL's... The raw power is simply majestic. Right now I have the front row seat to one of the best live recordings I have ever heard. -

Closing out my night with what surely is the finest Beatles remix I have ever heard...
The soundtrack to Cirque de Soleil's LOVE!
So many elements strike me as this is exactly what a reunited Beatles live performance could have been. Other elements are certainly more theatrical than they need to be, but overall, very well done. I would love for MFSL to dig back into these recordings, the studio mixtapes and interviews and piece together a fictional "live"-type concert that could have taken place in say 1999. a Millennium 35th anniversary performance at Wembly Stadium or Royal Albert Hall...
What a show it would have been.

Pink Floyd's ECHOES.
Excellent! Love the keyboard groove on that track - when it gets to that spot - for some inexplicable reason the volume goes up....
I can't decide if I'm in an acoustic/mellow mood or whether to go hard rockin'.....

Cleaned up my LP of Sabbath's Heaven and Hell.
I must say, this is REALLY good sounding....no...really.....I'd put this vinyl copy up against practically any other media.
Geezer's bass is amazingly clear.
The mix is clean, clear, and demands near reference level volume - it is that good.....really.
Side 1 is fantastic.

Hey, I think their 60's stuff is pretty good actually. I don't actually own any, but if it's on I won't turn it. 70's stuff. It's goin' off.....
Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Re: 60's stuff, I agree. They have an album called "Odessa", that's great. The LP came in a red velvet cover.
