The pair are here!!! I met the delivery guy at home today and ran back to work after getting them out of my hot garage. I've been working double-time to leave early and get the tunes pumping at home. I can't wait to start the placement dance. Strategically I bought the wife a bottle of wine and rented a bunch of chick flicks from red box. the night is mine!

I think those are the speakers. Harman is a green company now and when the speakers reach the end of their useful life, they will end up leaving zero environmental impact behind.

Congrats Mike.... and take the cardboard off will ya. The suspense is killing me.

Very nice! So did they design the speaker to look like a box? Kidding. Always wanted to hear me some Revels! Undress them already!

We have them on our showroom floor . I have listened to them many times. They are a remarkable sounding speaker. Very unique IMO. They have a very pleasing old style paper driver sound , big fat and very tone full. Yet they have a remarkable clarity and precision you would expect from a modern speaker. Crazy warmth and they pull you into what you are listening to .
If I do plan on revamping , these are on the top of my list.

Those are among the ugliest speakers I have ever seen a picture of. I guess that means they are so expensive as to be an "acquired taste".

Guys, right now the speakers are sounding awesome. Definitely the best my room has seen. Way better than the Gallo 3.5. I don't own a camera other than my iPhone, but even those shotty pics capture the amazing mirror-like paint job of these speakers. It's seriously like looking at a reflection through a still lake in the mountains.

As for the sound, what's even more amazing is that I haven't yet to reinserted my acoustic treatments back into the equation.

I'll post more pics once I have my room back together. For now, I gotta go to bed.

Thanks Mantis for the good recommendation. You were right!

One last one. This was the best speaker packaging I have ever seen. Look at the plastic coating the speaker to protect the paint job.

My buddy's shop carries Revel. On Saturday, I was listening to a pair of F208s alongside a pair of Dunlavy SC-VI/As...and thought the 208s sounded better in virtually every way. The couple that was there listening were dead set on the Dunlavys until they switched to the F208s...they left the store talking about them having to do some serious talking about which they wanted.

Congrats on the new speakers. I always get giddy when a new pair finds its way into the house.
