Dorokusai and others have had very high praise for these, i have never heard this model, but kefs older models i have owned are some of my favorite vintage, well worth investigating at that price.

But be aware, i will always begrudge you getting them and not me.

Thanks, scottyboy, but we are only about 2 states apart in case I don't like them. One worry, is my little Pio 821K going to be enough to drive them? I really don't want to have to upgrade my receiver right now just to be able to use them.

Heard a pair in the 80's and liked very much. Being 30+ yrs old they maybe a project speaker. If your up to it these would be real nice.

I would call Kef to see if they have replacement drivers or 3rd party suggestions. You would definitely need a better source of power.

That's what I was afraid of. Guess I better pass on them. I have neither the time, nor the expertise, for a project and I thought I read somewhere that they like power.

Someone! please help! I cant handle how loud this polk psw 150 subwoofer is! I set it up thinking it would be a great addition to my home theater but low and behold, the first movie i watched (deliverance), my dog was scared so badly when the bass hit (ned beatty was squealing like a pig) that his bowels immediately evacuated. As if that wasn't bad enough, I set off the nearest seismograph machine and immediately had a slew of geologist were swarming my property! My girlfriend is so scared of the bass dropping that she has reverted to living in a tent 2 blocks down the street I cant handle the stress anymore. This thing has got to go. Im tired of sleeping alone and cleaning dog **** out of my house.

That being said, it would sound phenomenal as the warning siren for bombs dropping over the city. If you wish to put your and/or your families safety at risk from spontaneous organ rupturing, this is the sub for you.

I have priced it for a quick sale so it will be gone before the devil comes back for his favorite torture device.

on the base of the sub, the finish is lifting in parts and there is a paint mark on the grill (could be a blood stain from the last owner)

Above is the post for the sub this guy is trying to sell.... Too funny.

The LS series is nice, but you can better them for not a lot more on the used market. For $100, if you're curious, go get 'em. I enjoyed my LS70's while I had them (even briefly owned the LS90's), but have no desire to ever have anything from the LS line again.

$100 for the pair is well worth the asking price: the woofers alone should fetch $25 easy if parted out.

Thanks for the info. But it sounds like you weren't a fan of that line. I think I will stick with my original idea of getting Trey to upgrade my crossovers in my 7C's.
