Jo Stafford singing "The Nearness Of You". Most young people these days have zero idea what a great singer she was and she was considered to have perfect pitch.

Alright, boys. Got my new Dodd battery tube preamp and separate phono stage. Battery's charged and tubes plugged (put four 1950's Holland made Amperex's in the phono stage.) I've been so busy lately haven't been able to get beyond that, but sometime this weekend I'm gonna get this new gear musical. Any suggestions for the first vinyl to play on the new gear?

Just fired up the new Dodd gear. First vinyl was Mark Knopfler's Privateering, an album I've really grown to like. Next was Pink Floyd Ummagumma, side four featuring David Gilmour. Tom, I need to get Gilmour's Live In Gdansk, I've heard so many great things about the SQ. Next was Hendrix Electric Ladyland side D, then Miles Davis TuTu. I must say this phono preamp is very very nice.
