I hope you are all having a memorable Memorial Day, if you're here in the USA, and a fantastic day or night, if you're somewhere else.

    Quick catch up post.
Earlier I listened to The Freddy Jones Band's self-titled album and This River by JJ Grey & MOFRO. Now listening to Dave Alvin - Ashgrove.

Blue Oyster Cult 1st album. Vinyl. Wore this album out back in the day. Saw them live in the mid-80's and they totally sucked. Except Buck Dharma.

As long as I'm going down the proverbial memory vinyl lane tonight, might as well spin Ziggy Stardust.

Cantrell sounds strong as ever. Their "new" lead singer is very good also. If you don't try to compare him to Layne, you won't be dissapointed.

This album has some nice heavy guitar in it. Some of the songs are kind of non-descript but the band's overall sound is very good IMO.

I'll give it a listen later. Kind of fond of Staley's vocals though.
