Too good to be true??? Also has a LSi7's for $175 and an LSiC for $150. Think I may get in touch with him and see what's up. I'd love to sell my LSiC and run a 9 as the center.

I know Pitdogg contacted the seller, and me to help with this. The seller is less than 10 minutes from me. I can pick it up for you guys, possibly get it down south too, but you guys have to initiate with the seller. It's a smoking deal for sure.

I havent heard back, I am guessing your post spawned a bunch of folks contacting him.

My main concern is that my goal with this purchase was to get my LSi setup on a Pio SC amp that is capable of handling them all so I can consolidate my HT setup. I am not sure the SC-05 is that AVR. Unlike some of the other models its not 4 ohm rated so I may pass, especially if others here are in line first.

That and with the exception of being able to run my LSi's it doesnt have too much more to offer me than my DTR 5.9 besides using a newer EQ, a phono input and networking capabilities.

I am happy to keep waiting and saving to grab something like the SC-65 or SC-67 or some of the newer older SC models (like the SC-27, SC-37, etc) as long as it can drive my center and surrounds since I do plan on keeping my LSi 15's on a dedicated amp since I am running them full range.

I love this one in the Pre-Owned section:

Nordost Power Cable 3.3 feet 2700
    "NEW ON SALE NOW" $1,800

I have a hard time with the super expensive power cables and IC's. I mean...for $1800 bucks one can by a used 100 kVA 120V/240V pole transformer and copper wire into the house! I swear...if I'd won that $600M Power Ball I would still think twice before spending that much or more on a power cable. $1800 would pay for a 1300 watt solar inverter...then get some panels on the roof for under a dollar a watt...money better spent IMO.

    This is good: http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/ele/3829398892.html

Audiofile performance with home theater functionality. The Polk Audio VS-25 was the top of the line model from Polk's first series of home theater speakers and retailed for $400 per pair. VS stands for "Video Series". These speakers place a strong emphasis on sound quality while also being magnetically shielded to prevent corruption of the audio signal. Three way design with power handling of 125 watts. Featuring a polymer dome tweeter, trilaminate midrange and fluid- infused subwoofer for extended bass response. Other notable features include rubber surrounds and the Polk Isophase crossover circuit.

VS Series? Looks like a serial number to me lol. And these were Polk's top of the line speakers as well. SRS, SRT, LSi, all nothing compared to this flagship speaker. Also glad that they're magnetically shielded to prevent corruption of the audio signal. Don't want that to happen.

Ok, the saga continues. I am posting this openly so there is no confusion and also we dont get played against each other.

Poolgod69 and Pitdog: I have been in contact with the seller of the SC-05 today and have his email information. Poolgod responded to my PM and he has also been in contact with the seller who advised him as well, its still around. That said since TonyB mentioned Pitdog contacted him (before my first post saying I was actually interested) about helping with picking/delivery I personally will NOT do anything until I hear from Pitdog, as to me he has dibs. I have shot him an email to get ahold of him.

This is just my thoughts, but until I hear from Ivan I am going to sit pat. I did ask the seller for pictures of the item and one proving it will power on. I have let Pitdog know that and told him I would be glad to provide those to him when/if I get them. So personally I consider Ivan first in line. I dont really need this, so if he does he's first in line and I am glad to wait or even lose out on it rather than snatch it out from under him.

So thats where I on this SC-05. The Integra DTR 5.9 and Carver 705x I have now work fine for my uses, eventually I would like to upgrade my receiver and when I do it will probably be a Pioneer SC model...

I just need to know what Pitdog is doing. This guy told me it is available and if I show up on Wed (since I will in Chicago area) I can pick it up and he will hold it.

If Pitdog wants it I need to know since he had initial contact. I do not want to be up in Chicago from W-F and not have an answer if Pitdog is buying it.

    Let me know something.....

    Thanx!!
