I have a set of polk dxi6500 in the front of my car and all of a sudden one day, I couldnt get my left woofer to work, the tweeter works but not the woofer. However if I turn the volume way up it works, as expected. I checked all the wiring everywhere and even hooked the speaker right up to the amp. Same results. What would cause this, is there a fix?

It may be a bad connection or wire in the speaker housing. Double check your wires to make sure too. Sometimes we all overlook things

Best way to check is to hook them up to the opposite side speaker wires. If it still doesnt work then its the speaker itself which is what I think it is. Sounds like the tensile leads are disconnected or the suspension is shot.
