Speaker issues.

I have a set of polk dxi6500 in the front of my car and all of a sudden one day, I couldnt get my left woofer to work, the tweeter works but not the woofer. However if I turn the volume way up it works, as expected. I checked all the wiring everywhere and even hooked the speaker right up to the amp. Same results. What would cause this, is there a fix?

It may be a bad connection or wire in the speaker housing. Double check your wires to make sure too. Sometimes we all overlook thingsReceiver: Denon 1912

Best way to check is to hook them up to the opposite side speaker wires. If it still doesnt work then its the speaker itself which is what I think it is. Sounds like the tensile leads are disconnected or the suspension is shot.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005
