    I have to say that I have been real tempted by this amp. Just wondering if I should hold out for a 1500, and Adcom 545II or a Carver TFM-35 or something. Hmmmm....

    If you are going to hold out then I would say the 1500. IMHO this is better than the 545. I cannot comment on the Carver.

    I'm tempted but wallet's a little thin.

    More importantly: would this be "enough" of an upgrade from either a rewired XL280 or Rotel 985 (currently used as a 3 chnl)?
