ten years after....a space in time..........cranked!

This is the first album I ever bought in seventh grade, and it still holds up as a work of total genius. I still have the original vinyl (totallly worn out of course and I'm on about my third copy) but I'm playing the CD now. Third Stone From The Sun was so far ahead of its time its not even funny. I actually heard Billy Idol and Steve Stevens play it live once. You'll never hear surf music again. I still think Mitch Mitchell was one of the best all time drummers in rock and roll. Sorry I'm waxing nostalgic here today, but just one of those days where everything was sounding awesome.....

Jeff Beck - Live At Ronnie Scott's - The Rockabilly Set -
Dro..Third Stone is a masterpiece ! Sat up many nights trying to figure out all the complex overdubbing and wondering how three guys could come up with sounds like that! Mitch was one of the top three in my opinion! Tornado....what do ya think of Tal Wilkenfeld,the bass player on that Ronnie Scott's DVD? Sorta shows up Beck doesn't she? Love the two tunes when Clapton gets up there...classic!

Speaking of that Dire Straits 1st...found a pristine copy of that in a goodwill few weeks back...not even dirty..looked brand new...here's the killer...got it for a quarter!

Tal is a prodigy, is she not?? She's also with Beck during his set on the blu-ray Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame 25th Anniversary if you haven't already seen it. Say, know anyone who has heard/owns her solo cd "Transformation"? Often wondered how it turned out. Also heard she has her second offering coming out soon...featuring vocals as well. -

Is that the Rock and Roll Party DvD that was a tribute to Les Paul? Tal is indeed exceptional..saw her on Claptons Crossroads Show on PBS a few years back...she is young too..maybe 25 or so. New stuff to be released shortly...can't wait to hear it!!

Both rockers Let The Music Do The Talking is the one I like most...I've Got The Rock And Rolls Again is good but doesn't kick **** like Let The Music. Any one of yazz ever hear of a group called the BZZZZZZ?

Don't think she's on the Les Paul tribute disc, but I don't have it in front of me right now. The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame Concerts, 25th anniversary is a different one, she's on with Beck there. It's a fantastic concert(s), check it out if you haven't yet... -

Totally agree I saw The Joe Perry Project open up for Heart got both and let the music is the better of the two. I am surprised Joe recycled the title track and let Tyler do it on Done With Mirrors.
