I have a Denon AVR 3313 Ci receiver and a Emotiva XPA 5. My question is what speakers should I run through the Emotiva? I was thinking initially about running my front RTi A9's through the Emotiva and the rest of my 7.1 channels through the receiver. Any best practices??
Polk Audio RtiA9 - Front x 2
Polk Audio CsiA6 - Center
Polk Audio FXiA6 - Surrounds x 4

The Emotiva is a dedicated 5 channel amp...I'd run all 5 speakers thru this.

XPA 5 channels. I have 7 speakers in my setup. Are you saying to run everything but the fronts through the XPA 5?Polk Audio RtiA9 - Front x 2

Welcome to Club Polk!
No! You run "everything, including the front L/C/R channels, and the two surrounds with the Emotiva". And leave the TWO SURROUND BACKS to the Denon.
The FRONTS are what need the Emotiva the 'most'!

No. Amp the A9's, your certer speaker and 2 of your surrounds then let the reciever power the other 2.
