Quick......help me choose amps

Calling upon the experience and opinions of the Polk brotherhood.

I have to make a quick decision between two amps:

1. Carver TMF 22----(225 wpc same as TMF25 model) $240

2. B&K ST-3030 ----(200 wpc) $290


The will drive a pair of Totem Rainmakers

    Carver has it's fanboys, and I am sorta in that boat. I really liked mine when it worked, but getting diagnostics or repairs on the Carver gear seems more problematic than on others FWIW.

    I'd go for the B & K myself.

    +2+2! Heard both,(not exact models) and would pick B&K all day,and twice on days that end with a y!

    Thanks guys........that was really helpful, I went with the B&K, based on the overwhelming preference for the B&K. I researched both amps briefly but still couldnt decide.........so this helped tremendously
