    Couple things.....

I think you will find that the 630 dollar speaks on ebay are not from authorized dealers and as such, don't qualify for the warranty, technically. However, being the stellar group that Polk is, I think that they would still help you out.

Second, I *think* you will find that if you have a legit warranty issue, I don't think that Polk would make an issue if you were the original owner or not.

Third, it's a good price, period.

Fourth, whatever my personal feelings are for Dan, he is a reputable forum seller.

What's with the influx of trolls here of late?

Another point...you never know what you're getting off of Ebay. I'd buy from any well known member here in a second, with confidence.

When it comes to cutting someone a deal, that goes both ways here. Why not cut Dan a good deal! Here we have a known good seller offering something for sale that he no longer needs. Why would you go and buy one from an internet company when you know a member is trying to move his along? At a great price at that!

Guys, ignnore these damn trolls. Just about everyone here knows Dan is a great seller...even a "part-timer" like me. Jeez, I can't believe these 9's are still for sale. Must be coinless..just like myself. Just posted some stuff on audiogon so maybe when (if) I sell............Like stated above, I'll just keep hijacking till I come up with the coin:D

Yep. Dan is a great seller and excellent to do business with. This is a great price on these pair of LSi 9 which are just barely broken in.

To all trolls, if you don't have anything good to say then don't say anything at all here on the Flea Market. Period.

If I wouldn't have a pair I'd be all over them. Guys, these would make a wonderful Mother's Day gift for the wife huh?;)

Spend $3, take 1 picture, put them on Audiogon at that price - they'll be sold in less than 6hrs.

    Cheers,

    Hi Dan
Yes I got your email, thank you. I was confused about the whole idea of upgrading my RTi70's to LSi9's. Here is the link on the speakers forum http://clubpolk.polkaudio.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19110 .
The thing is, I found a dealer (this morning! wonder of wonders!) here in Louisville who's just opened.....I'd like to audition the 9's before making the decision to buy them. He has not got them in as yet from Polk but he's expecting them by next Wednesday. He's told me he'd call me and notify me when they come in.
I do not know how fast you need to sell these speakers cos I see that you've been trying to for quite a while. But, if the speakers are still available by the time I audition them and if I like em, I will definitely buy them from you. Kris

Because of my geographic handicap, I've never heard LSI's but I have read here that the break in period can be very long. When you do your audition, seeing that it's a new shop, you may want to keep in mind that they're not broken in and will yeild better results once they are.

Yes, thanks for reminding me about that. Break in will smoothen things out and sometimes extend the bass a little. Am I right?

The LSi's are horible out of the box. They sound like a very small cheapish speaker, no soundstage and grating highs. It takes maybe 75 to 100 hours for them to open up and they do it in the course of a few songs. (I noticed my LSi15's do this). It is really incredible how they change.

    Russ,
point taken.I was hoping to give back to the forum a killer deal as I got.But no one steps up and gets em.I got 2 different people in here intrested now,we shall seee if one of them will actually go for them.Audiogon is next which I'm a member of.

    radkrisdoc,
If you lived near me,I would Invite you to come here and listen to them. They are fully broken in.They sound Incredible for book shelf speakers.I also have another person wanting them. You asked first, but if your wanting to wait a few weeks to buy them, and the other dude offers to take them now,I'm going to go with his offer now.I had them up for sale for awhile and no takers.Alot of people wanted them but didn't have the funds to buy.My price is at a firm low.Your call first then they will go.

    dcarlson,
as noted my Mad and others, the Lsi series speakers take a long time to break in.Yes they sound like poopy out of the box.I had the same experience with B&W speakers. They do the same thing new. After a long break in period, which I found to be about 40 or so hours, they open up and warm up.Lsi series speakers in my opnion are the very best sounding to date. The most acurate and detailed of all the best polks over the years. There not the best speakers out there but they rule there price point and alittle behond.

    Faster100,
good deal man,you should have fun with them.they don't sound like other polk speakers other then there rock solid Imaging.Polk seems to make speakrs that can Image well. The 7's I'm buying for surroundback.I feel the 9's are 2 big for that duty and not to mention not wall hangable.

    Hi Dan
I wish I was near PA but sadly am not......but on the other hand Ive got this store thats just opened and thats a good thing. I really do not want to buy them from you before I audition them. The LSi9's will be available for auditioning next Wednesday. I do not need a few weeks to decide, if I like em, I will buy em that same night. Will use Paypal.
BUT, if the other guy wants to buy them before coming Wed., go ahead and finish the transaction. I understand that you have been wanting to sell these for quite a while and since I cannot tell you for sure if I want them now, that would be the right thing to do. Thanks for asking me first though. This whole experience has been wonderful, its good to know that there are a lot of people like me. Kris
PS: if the other guy has not offered to buy them by next week, can you please send me your Paypal email id? I will need that if I decide to buy them.

I don't use Pay Pal allthough I should. You can send Via Money order, cashiers check or if you send a personal check,I will wait untill it clears which usually takes a day.

I will keep you updated.Listening before you buy is a smart idea.Good luck listening.
