cross-reference parts for POLK RT2000P powered woofer driver?

I need to replace my 8" powered woofers in my RT2000P speakers (rubbing the voice coil) but Polk does not support this speaker anymore. Additionally, parts-express does not have a x-reference for the parts either.

Has anyone replaced these successfully or can you recommend a replacement that is compatible with the built in amp?

    I'm interested in if anyone has done this also. My 2000p's are perfectly fine but its always good to know of replacement options.

    I contacted Polk regarding woofers for my old SRT system. they suggested me to contact http://www.madisound.com instead.

    Me too, but madisond and parts express don't have any cross reference data since it is an exclusive part to Polk.

    It looks like a pretty lightweight and inexpensive driver and ought to be similar to something out there currently being made but I struggle finding any real data.
