    Far as I know, those were left-over SDA 1 "first edition" cabinets with the "nostrils"; they've been factory-converted to 1A specs, and the brass plate covers the two little un-used ports.

    The 1s that were "field-converted" to 1As had the nostrils plugged, but no plate over the top unless the owner had something custom-made.

    I was looking at those. I'm not the most knowledgable on SDA's but from my research the cabinets look like 2A's. Can they be identified strictly from the cabinets?

    Yes with one picture it's hard to tell but looks like 2A.
    Why don't you go look if them if you are interested and make them an offer you can explain how the crossovers need to be redone.

    From reading on the forum, some of the the early 2B's may have used those cabinets and if blade/blade are probably 2B's? I'm going to give him a call tomorrow. I'm curious as to what mw drivers are in it.

    Gimpod went through this helping me figure out what I had. There were some of the early 2B's made in these cabinets but they should be pin/blade to indicate the later style. Mine are blade/blade with two round crossover boards per cabinet. I was only trying to point out the difference. If someone is looking for a set with upgrades in mind the 2A's are more expensive in the long run. I paid $100.00 for mine and will be in for $600.00 give or take by time they are done.
