Looking forward to this as well. Sounds like this one may be a little more what I was expecting from Americana. But it's Neil, so you never know what to expect.

The following quote from Rolling Stone makes me think that Americana was just kind of a fun project. Reading between the lines, I am getting more excited for their new one.
Just three months ago Neil Young and Crazy Horse released the folk covers disc Americana. Surprisingly, they are only playing a single one of those songs, "Jesus' Chariot," during their live show this summer. "They just didn't fit in," Poncho said. "Somehow they really sound good when we play them together, but when we play them in a set they just didn't fit in. I told Neil that I thought it was a lot of fun playing them and they're great songs, but our soul and our hearts aren't in them."

Love J. Winter. I've seen him play several times, in venues from 15,000 seat arenas to clubs with a capacity of a few hundred.

I was surprised at how small he is. Also surprised he's still alive.

One of the best live albums I've ever heard (still!), is "Johnny Winter And. . . .Live". Band member include Rick Derringer on guitar, Randy Jo Hobbs bass and Bobby Caldwell drums.

    Amazing stuff, mistakes and all.
