I just bought "Tinker,Tailor,Soldier,Spy" and "Smiley's People" as Region 2 Boxset on Amazon For $17 bucks.....This is the original with Alec Guinness....I have a Pioneer Dvd Player that plays Sacd's and Ntsc/Pal all-region discs.I'm into Brit crime dramas,so I buy a lot from the UK
The 2 american versions would have been 3 times as much on amazon...way overpriced.I paid $35 for the complete 7 seasons of "Prime Suspect" with Helen Mirren...the US version was $75...It's worth it to get a Pal/Ntsc player if you love good Euro dramas....they make more "thinking" movies,than the crash and bash stuff that comes out of hollywood....can't wait for these two John LeCare masterpieces

Crime drama is way better in the UK. Wallender with Kenneth Branagh. Luther with Idris Elba are 2 of my favorites. Last good crime show in US was The Wire IMO. I'll have to look into Prime Suspect. Thanks
