"Notable, sought after, and popular" bookshelf from Polk. 8/10 condition. I am asking $350 plus shipping. We can meet somewhere around either Fairfax, VA or Baltimore to save shipping. These pictures are not my best effort so if you need more let me know.

we must have been thinking the same thing at the same time, just 2 minutes ago I edited the post to reflect $350 as an asking price and not firm. That's pretty fair I thought, less than half of MSRP. They are awesome, but it just doesn't make sense for me to have 4 sets of mains lying around, I have LSi9's on the way.

Anyways, anyone looking for an upgrade should really check these out, they destroy the 35i's, and I even prefer them over the 800i's for music.

    Legendary?

Notable, sought after, popular - sure, but legendary? ;)

    Cheers,
    Russ
Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

Thanks, I would have preferred cherry, but the price was right, and i'm not planning on displaying the bottom of the speaker anytime in the near future..

    "Legendary" works for me!

Especially since Polk never replaced the 55 line.:(

BTW, you nearly stole those 9's, enjoy!:)

55i's are one of my all time favorite Polk's. Great all-arounder and a shame they still don't make one like it...Polk, you listening?

I think the 55 crossed over product lines.

IMHO, The sound they produce rivals, if not outperforms, many towers. Although, I've never gotten an official answer from Polk on that one.

I've always preferred Polk's "mid-sized" speakers, its alot of bang for the buck.

I listed them on audiogon. That listing has better pictures as well.
