I heard on CBS radio that Earl Scruggs has passed. I guess the fog has cleared on Foggy Mountain. R.I.P.

Lester Flatt is from the small town I grew up in. I live only a few miles from it still. I am sure they will have something for his bluegrass partner there to commemorate their music together.

Earl Scruggs was from Shelby, NC - I only know this because my father moved there for the last few years of his life... and there is a large sign as one enters town on the main highway trumpeting (heh) that it's the birthplace of Earl Scruggs.

Earl Scruggs with his son Randy and the Earl Scruggs Revue, introduced bluegrass to many folks who would not otherwise have listened to the genre. One of my favorite pickers for sure. Pick on, Brother Earl, pick on.
If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

    Rest in peace Mr. Scruggs
I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!
