Hi Guys - so I purchased a refurb MicroPro 2000 from the Polk eBay store 2 months ago and I've noticed a few things and having a couple of issues...

As background, the pre-outs on my NAD 375bee are plugged into the inputs on the sub, and it's simply set to always on.

1 - adjusting the lowpass filter tends to cause alot of static and based on freq response utilities and a calibration mic, not sure the cutoffs are working exactly right. Ie. if I set it to 80hz, it acts more as if it was set to about 60hz.
2 - sometimes the sub won't come and the blue light flickers for a few min before the sub finally kicks in. At the moment, the light is on and the sub isn't working.

Time to call CS?

    I would think that's advisable.

    I would think that's advisable.

Done. They're sending me a replacement back plate for the sub. First time I've had to call Polk for anything, but took all of 10 minutes to resolve the issue.

OK - with some difficulty, I replaced the backplate and amp for the MP2k. I had to remove the passive radiator at first b/c the old backplate wouldn't come out. I installed the new one and tested the sub out and it works - the only issue now is that there's a squeaking noise coming w/ the music. I can't tell if it's a mechanical sound or electronic - ex. I'm hearing it with each drum beat.

I don't have time today, but tomorrow I'll remove the passive and see if I still here it. Maybe it's not seated all the way in, even though all the screws are in?

Hopefully it's not another bad amp...

I took the passive radiator off, rechecked all connections and high pitch squeal is coming from the amp itself. Will try to give CS a call tomorrow again - just not having much luck w/ this sub!

Wow, that is unusual. Ask to speak with Kim, he's the CS manager.

I called CS and spoke w/ Eric and they're going to replace the unit altogether since the issues are recurring. I've received the shipping label, so I'll send the sub out tomorrow.

Thanks again for monitoring the situation Ken - much appreciated!

No problem, glad to be of help. I'm glad they're replacing the entire unit, that makes sense.
    Thanks for your patience!
