My wife bought this rack for all my gear because she wants a rack that matches the rest of our decor. Can you believe it? She says it's a present to herself! Any girl who gets a rack upgrade with her own dollars is a great wife in my book. Wooh Hooh!
Here's a photo Chris from Timbernation just sent over after shipping the rack off.

My wife is the same way. She has been trying to match all our stuff (entertainment center, speakers) to some end tables. You would think its the other way around but nope.
So she's trying to get me to get rid of my nice open air black entertainment center and buy something that costs as much as a TV so its wood with a cherry finish lol......"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." There is some very realistic looking self-stick, woodgrain vinyl sheeting that might "fool" her. -

Yeah, but the fact its open air kills it. She wants to "hide" everything whereas I want to show it off lol..... so I figure I will let her "hide it", provided I get to upgrade so its even better than it is now lol"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." That rack is so damn pretty it's a shame your going to hide most of it with gear.
Congrats on having such a tasteful and giving wife. Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Congrats! Very nice figuring in that Maple.
I had been watching a few Timbernation pieces on Audiogon. Their work appears to be well made, sturdy and purdy.

It's not like buying a new couch or a new kitchen or something.
If you buy your wife a new rack, it's something you'll use every day.Norh ACA-2B tube pre, Sumo Andromeda SS amp. Magneplanar MMG speakers, M&K MX1250 Subwoofer, Pro-Ject RM1.3 Genie TT with Sumiko Pearl MM cart., Keces DAC, Cambridge Audio Azur 640c CD player -
Search Timbernation on A'gon and read about some troubles folks were/are having with the company. Highly entertaining reading!!falconcry72 wrote: »Congrats! Very nice figuring in that Maple.

In short, what was the troubles? My wife's experience with Chris seems to have been perfect. He told her how to measure my current rack and room dimensions in order to help her make the right purchasing decision. The guy is ok in my book. -
Wooh Hooh alright, consider that as a gift to you also! Enjoy playing with her new rack!SolidSqual wrote: »My wife bought this rack because she wants a rack that matches the rest of her decor. Eh, they both will enjoy his old gear hiding her rack! :cool:tony millard wrote: »That rack is so damn pretty it's a shame your going to hide most of it with your gear.

Joke aside, congrats! I really like the bulky rustic style look, wood is always classy in my book. Is the new rack to be used in 2 channels or HT room? Here's a photo Chris from Timbernation just sent over after shipping the rack off.

Are you suggesting that he perform plastic surgery on his rack?:eek:There is some very realistic looking self-stick, woodgrain vinyl sheeting that might "fool" her.

It looks pretty unexciting to me.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Compromise! Tell her you agree to put year behind doors but you want a clear rack so the inside can be seen (just like her China)!EndersShadow wrote: »Yeah, but the fact its open air kills it. Wow, read the thread. It sounds effed up. Fortunately, Chris's actions speak louder than that thread . . . at least as they pertain to me. My wife said she ordered the rack 10 days ago and he indicated it would take 7-10 days to make and ship. On track to me. -
Ok, I have to admit, I knew what the thread was going to be about. Does it make me a bad person that I was hoping it was something else??........

Is it made out of silicone?

I was looking for something 36x24x36. That would be ideal for me...

So, you are admitting to be a ''voyeur''?
Not sure how that would make me a voyeur, but what the heck, sure. I would think anyone who's ever watched **** would be a closet voyeur..... -
Not too close (24wx16dx24h), beside it would be ackward for a rack!I was looking for something 36wx24dx36h. That would be ideal for me...
