I have the Harmony One. Love it. Absolutely great. Only drawbacks for me is that it has to be pointed at the equipment to power on and when you preprogram stations it is a little slow in inputting the commands i.e. must point remote at screen for 3-4 seconds.

Very ergonomic. Buttons have a tactile 'click' when pressed which i like. 1000 different options for programming each button.

Just wish I had one of the new touch screen ones cuz, well, why not? Everything is touch screen now!

I know they're little quips. Not deal breakers for me.

I have the Harmony One and I love it. Make sure you follow the setup instructions completely. Well worth it for a reducing remote controllers to one. Having said that, I still keep all the original remotes in a nearby drawer. I find accessing the innermost layered controls of my most complex equipment easier with the originals. Don't get me wrong, the Harmony can access the innermost layered controls, it's just easier with the original (to me). This is definitely more of a personal preference than an indication that the Harmony has shortcomings.

harmony remotes are the best Do it yourself control. Unless you going to have a Customer Installer programmer come out with a custom remote control system , this is the way to go. All of them are good , pick the one you like.

    Harmony One!!!

Just picked up my second 'One' for my other room. I like the One better than the 1100, 'cause it has more "real" buttons. And the 1100 looks like a "two-handed" remote, while the One retains the traditional elongated remote shape.

FYI, I just customized mine with favorite channel icons from here: http://www.iconharmony.com

Mole I've been keeping an eye on these myself. A refurbished Harmony 1100 is on Logitech's website for 229, they also had the Harmony one down to $99(but the price may have gone up in the last few days). The cheapest i've been able to research for the 1100 was at Fry's $209-80 rebate back in April. If you can wait like I am, Black Friday is right around the corner and something should pop up. Also, send me a PM if you find it at a super price as I am also interested (1100).

Harmony 1 all the way. The only down side to the one is now I want shake everything else to wake it up. Had my 1 for 3 years with no issues, been dropped a bunch.

I used to have the One and can say it is indeed a very nice remote. I ended up getting rid of it though, because I found that the Dish remote was a little easier/faster for me to use since I use to DVR 95% of the time I'm in front of the TV.

In the past I've also owned a couple of Phillips remotes - might be worth checking out. I've had the Pronto and the Pro, both of which can be had for reasonable. Nice thing about those remotes is you can have full manipulation of the GUI rather than just having "set" buttons that you just label.

I have the Harmony 1000 and have been using it for the past 3 years. Love it for my 2 channel as I can control my Valve Amplification Company pre and my Lector CDP. I was surprised and pleased that the codes were already in in the Harmony online database and setup was a breeze.

Not trying to downsize Harmony at all, but visit RemoteCentral and you can get the codes for just about anything. You can actually get the discrete codes for those items that have a Power On and Power Off setting vs just a standard power button on the remote. This helps tremendously when setting up macros.

Not sure about the One, but my 880, which I otherwise loved, had buttons start to wear out within the first year, and completely die after a few years.

    Literally my only complaint though.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.
