One is cheaper but sold by Home Electronics. I don't know what the difference is between the two. One says it's a high definition DVD audio/video player and the other says High Performace DVD Player with HD Upconversion but the model no.'s are the same.

I actually found one review that said it had poor build quality.

I have no experience with Adcom's DVD players but one negative review doesn't mean much to me.

If it's the same model number, chances are they are one in the same. One might be a newer version of the same model though. Either way, curious as to why your looking at these when so many better options abound.

I've seen one negative and one positive so that's why I asked.

I understand that, I just came across it, but i can't find but two reviews on it so that tells me to stick with their amps and preamps.

I got that for sure, it looks like this guy knew what he was talking about, the other review just said "looks pretty, plays good" short and to the point some what lol

hahahaha sure! I have seen a lot! some stores (small) they take the tag that said "refurbished" and they sell them like new. even in eBay you can find some "refurbished" Polk speakers at lower price.

Unless you got a line on a used one for a great price, in that range you should be able to find a used Oppo 83.

Oppo seems like the very best possible choice for a blu ray player or any player to me since there are very little to no negative reviews on them.
