So lets say that i turn the volume up too loud when i get the M70s/CS2...since i do not have an amp, and therefore there wont be enough power to drive the speakers, it could produce clipping and damage my speakers?
Do i have that right? i dont quite understand clipping. -
Here is a quick lesson including how the tweeter is damaged. This has lead to the reviews that you may have read that the Monitor 70 tweeters are weak or defective. There is nothing wrong with the tweeters, just the operator driving an amp or AVR into clipping. The high level harmonics created fry the tweeter!:frown:

Your going to want to control your volume button...
First they need to break in, this takes a lot of time. Even if you had a big amp, you don't want to connect up brand new speakers and crank it.
Second, your better off not pushing an AVR too hard with a M70. The distortion levels can easily destroy a tweeter.
