Ultra High HD screens from Sharp...

Sharp shows off the world's first Super Hi-Vision 85-inch LCD with 16x more detail than 1080p:

Sharp owns part of Pioneer and I wonder if Sharp and Pioneer collaborated or Sharp took some of Pioneer's technology for that?

Pioneer made plasmas, not LCD's. Not sure how their technology would apply.

Sharp will be granted a license of Pioneers Elite brand for a line of high-end flat panel displays to be introduced in the U.S. and Canada this year. It will also be an LCD, not a plasma.
    Everything matters. That is all.
Money cannot buy happiness, but it sure can buy a bad **** boat to pull up along side it though.

I'm going to start saving $$$$$$$$ tomorrow. I hope I live long enough to see a display model LOCALLY.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

I have been wondering about Sharp's "RGBY" technology, where it sounds like they split out the Y signal for a better pic, but what components can actually accept a RGBY cable, this this cant be it...

So when we get to 16X 1080P do we just stop using our eyes to see and live in "REALITY" and just sit in front of one of these TVs in order to experience and to view LIFE?

Just curious...in other words; will Virtual Reality become MORE real than physical reality? It SURE sounds like it, no?

Monster Jam, I hope so too. I would hate to see my videos in anything less than HD.
