    As someone who is not that far off the age of most of the old farts in this test, I'd have to say that 90 percent of those guys can't hear above 12.5 or 13Khz 'if they're lucky' (on a good day) and didn't attend too many Rock concerts in their youth. lol

    I certainly would not consider my ears, at over 50 qualified to do a 'critical' review of DACs that can reach UP high! Is there something that I'm missing or am I just being a curmudgeon?

    Most of us after 35 or so, just start to lose our high frequencies and there is nothing we can do about it.

    So it's probably best for the young ones to do 'full range' listening' tests. No?

    If I'm not mistaken, most tube equipment takes the edge off 15Khz+ and is best in the 25-15Khz range. Which is almost perfect for us aging, hearing impaired boys and girls.
