Another break in Question
Ok , Bought a pair if RTI4's.
Live in a trailer!!! In WV, impossible!
Hillbillies like music too.
Can't play them real loud.
What about break in period?
Does it happen when played at moderate volumes?

I wouldn't worry about it - just play 'em and enjoy 'em! They sound nice right out of the box!

When I'm breaking a new bike (for racing not for street), I run it hard, obviously enough, we call it a "hard break in".
I didn't treat my speakers the same way, I broke them in gently and gradually. I believe "time" is what you need to properly break in speakers.Set up:
Marantz AV8802A - Sources: BRP Panasonic 9000/CDP Emotiva ERC 3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-6, XPA-2 x 2 - Speakers: Focal/PolkAudio, Mains/2ch - Kanta No2, C - LSiM706, SS - LSiM702, WS - RTiA9, RS - RTiA9, FH - RTiA3 - Subs: Epik Empires x 2
Cables: AQ McKenzie XLR's from CDP to AVP to amp for 2ch, Emotiva XLR's for the rest - Douglasconnection: Furutech Alpha 36 12g speaker wire for 2ch, Furez 10g speaker wire for the rest - AQ Forest48 HDMI for the display, AQ Carbon48 HDMI from BRP to AVP - VR3 filtered power cables for CDP, BRP and AVP, Emotiva power cables for the amps - AudioQuest 505 power conditioner.
EXPERIENCE: next to nothing, but I sure enjoy audio and video MY OPINION OF THIS HOBBY: I may not be a smart man, but I know what quicksand is.
When I was young, I was Superman but now that old age has gotten the best of me I'm only Batman -
If you can't break them in at levels that you want to play them at? Don't worry about it and just enjoy them. When the time comes for you to let them break loose and go all out? They will be plenty broken in. In other words, as mentioned before? Just enjoy them.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

Get some Pit/Rottweiler hybrids to keep em from walkin away.

You are right. I have them hooked up to a Kenwood. Really not the best receiver, A friend loaned it to me until I get the unit I want. I hear the potential for great sound from these speakers with the right electronics.
Even running them with a Kenwood they sound pretty impressive but not what they can sound like. These are great speakers right out of the box. -
