What was it replaced on?

The Silver Mica's in the first pic labeled "Gone" is where I put the Ceramic Discs. I believe this is the output stage?
No clue what I'm doing but I'm having fun experimenting. Was wondering if this was technically okay to do? -
You're creating thread after thread asking about replacing this/that and not having a clue as to what you're doing -No clue what I'm doing....
Want my advice?
Tell us what you're planning (or already are) to modify. We've got alot of DIY'ers that modify their components all the time.
So again, post here what you're trying to modify and you'll get suggestions on what to replace, what to replace it with, or if it's even worth modifying.

I had a friend basically hold my hand through all these mods and I'm trying to get the thing back to the way it used to be, because it sound better that way.
With all due respect, all I need to know is if it is technically safe to replace a Silver Mica cap with a Ceramic Disc cap of the same value. I started this thread to get that answer, not to spark a discussion about my modifications/goals.
Now if there is information that you must know to help me with an answer, forgive me for thinking the answer was more simple. -

Well I would not let that "friend" help you modify anything else. Take Freddie's advise as well as others that seem to have much more experience than you or your friend.
I am not trying to slam you at all Freddie as well as others can help you before you get in over your head.
been there done that -
Hello,
To answer your question, yes the ceramic replacement is fine to use. In very small values ceramic works very well.

My friend knew what he was doing, he just didn't get to finish. Being several thousand miles away and helping me by phone never helped either.
I apologize for coming off like an ****.
Kenneth, that's exactly what I needed to know. Thanks! -
My assumption would be that if you can find a 5600pF cap that fits on that board, it will work fine.

Thanks for the help Face! -
And with some care in trimming and bending the leads your likely to find them easier to handle thus easier to solder on to the surface mount pads than a tiny SMD cap.High quality film caps in small values: http://www.partsconnexion.com/capacitor_film_amtrans_amch.html -

+1 to What he said.
If you already got it replaced with Ceramic, leave it as is.Trying out Different Audio Cables is a Religious Affair. You don't discuss it with anyone.:biggrin:
