Honestly, i didn't know KISS was still together and touring.. but a few of the original members still do with new members.

Tickets are $40 - $100

I was never a fan 35 years ago.. but to relive the 70's... i might just have to see what it's all about..

KISS 60 yr old men... what can I say? it is what it is..

I didn't buy a ticket "back then"...and there is no way in hell I would buy one now.

so KISS is coming to town...worth seeing in concert?

I'd opt for the circus, it'd be more entertaining.

It depends. Were you dumb enough to buy a pet rock back then?

I had front row center for their farewell concert in Irvine CA.(courtesy of Paul Stanley:tongue:) They are worth the price of admission however, and I would have paid the price. Some of the antics in the crowd were as entertaining as the show itself. Ted Nugent was the opener and he still knows how to rock as well.

I must admit to feeling a bit ripped off as the farewell tour was ten years ago...

    KISS sucks.

A hundred bones will get you a couple of hookers and a whole lot of cheap blow. Be about as much fun and the hookers will give you gifts that keep on giving so you can enjoy your experience for years to come. And you don't even need to buy a t-shirt with some dude's tongue on it.

Went with my boss last fall, and we both had a blast. You never go to a KISS show for the 'music'...or at least the musicianship. But the costumes, fire, blood pellets, explosions, flying bass players, etc. made it a really fun night out. We'd go again - but obviously they aren't for everyone. :)

I can get the same thing in a movie theater for a fraction of the price AND I won't even have to listen to KISS!

KISS is entertaining. Have seen them 3 times since 1979. 3 groups you had to see, KISS, Grand Funk Railroad and Nugent.

I don't particularly like their music but they have and do a lot of good for our wounded vets. They have visited our local VA hospital a few times and provide support for the cause.

I have went to at least three KISS "Farewell we aren't touring again Concerts" and will not be going to another one. I think they have a tour everytime one of them runs out of money! At one time I loved their show, but it's now grown pretty lame IMHO. If you want to experience the nostalgia their show is at least true to their heyday, at least the last time I saw it (probably 2000 or 2001).

Kiss has a special place in my heart. When I was like 12 year old they were the first band I liked and I bought all their records and posters. They were my idols. I never went to a concert but would have loved to go. Now I'm 41 and I don't listen to their music and wouldn't go to a concert.

Danger Boy, you've received some excellent advice so far (ie, "Circus" and "Pet Rocks").

One possible saving grace of KISS is Peter Criss, because his nickname is "CATman".

KISS Peter Criss Mr Potato Head.jpg

Notice I said, "Possible". Come to think of it, even THAT won't save KISS.

So here's some more excellent guidance.

    Get on Amazon:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002IUHSL4/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&seller=

    Buy this:

KISSS Set of 4 Bobblehead Dolls.jpg

Get a half a keg of beer, a can of charcoal starter fluid.
Push your rig onto your back porch/dead/yard.
Wait for the sun to go down, commence drinking.
Apply starter fluid to any nearby bush, and light.
Put on some good music (suggest Zeppelin or Ozzy) at excessively loud volume. Power company's got plenty of power available, so go for it !
As the flaming bush lights up the night, rip the heads off the bobble-head dolls, one by one, as you shout, "Yeah !!! KISSSSSSSS !! WHOOO-HOOO !! Take that fill-in-the-blank-with-appropriate-KISS-member !!!" as you toss the bobble-head into the purifying flames.
Repeat as necessary (or until the neighbors call the cops).

Just a thought. Please take pictures.

NOTE: Not responsible for fire damage or bail.

One possible saving grace of KISS is Peter Criss, because his nickname is "CATman"..........

Except for the fact that it's not Peter Criss behind the makeup, it's Eric Singer. (a much better drummer, but I don't agree with hiring guys to pretend to be original members) Very disingenuous, IMO.

To the OP, save your money, and buy an old concert video if you want to hear them in their "prime".
